with Iúri Oliveira

With his own comprehensive approach, he has worked with composers and artists from a wide range of genres, including soundtracks for film and theater. With extensive live experience, especially as a sideman musician, he has performed on the most emblematic Portuguese stages, and also around the world, such as the iconic MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, where he performed with Madonna at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.

As an author, he released the songs CASA, with the participation of Edu Mundo, HABITAT, in partnership with Manuel Rocha, the soundtrack AURORAS from the film ‘JOÃO AYRES - O PINTOR INDEPENDENTE’, with which he won the award for Best Original Composition at the Paris Film Awards, the European Art Festival and the Red Moon Film Festival, and more recently his first solo album of unreleased songs - MANIFESTO, where he gives himself over to deep immersion, tracing a vibrant path, full of colors and textures.

‘I intend to offer my own rhythmic vocabulary, an intimate voice, a contribution capable of crossing musical boundaries and uniting differences. I want to crate bridges between the exploration of contemporary and traditional percussion, redefining my role in the world, through sound.’

Iúri Oliveira

Performance work as an exercise of listening, surrender and interrelation. Being body, biology and nature, without a defined plan, a path is traced. An index of connection to the earth, to the organic flow, to the totality of what exists, through sound, vibration and movement.
